so could people change things to get dyno number they liked better? it makes it seem that peoples dyno sheets could just be a bunch of bs.

BINGO!

Happens all the time "xx shop" said this much "yy shop" said more.

Sometimes it's unintentional, start a session early in the morning and they set the air temp correction to "xx" degrees then don't change it as ambient goes up you get an incorrect figure.

A lot of the time it's just fudged on purpose as it means people tell friends thay made good power there so it's more business for the shop.
