Dylan's How-To: Side Trim Replacement

The actual removal/installation of new side moulding is easy enough with the TSRM http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/bo/BO_21.html . The problem is when your new trim looks good but has missing or broken clips, and even if you are a total moron like me it's an easy fix. I tried gluing it back into place but that was messy and took forever to dry and didn't work in the end anyway, so I devised this method. No glue and you get to melt stuff!

I'm in the process of repairing my Side mouldings and rear mouldings. I'm actually missing the stud portions. I bought some 5mm bolts and inverted them and just shoved them on with fibreglass.

Will the fibreglass epoxy hold those bolts down? It seems to be doing a very strong bond now. I'll post picks of my ghetto fix later.'

I think elmer's glue would hold it on stronger than melting the little plastic bits, so yeah you should be just fine with epoxy lol
