Okay, just finished supraholics incredible build. He's got beautiful new black paint and as we all know black shows the most dust of any color.
I didn't want to hijack his thread but thought I'd contribute in the one area that I have most experience in (since I'm not gifted in the mechanical area)
first off if your car is clean and just has some dust:
california duster - as mentioned prior I think it just moves dust and leaves small scratches
tack cloth - no experience. as stated before used before final coats of paint
My method - spray bottle with water, two rags one wet and dry one. First wet one section targa, quarter panel etc. Once section is wet use the wet rag to remove the dust and VERY LIGHTLY dry with microfiber towel. Try and use as little pressure as possible this should keep paint scratch free.
Hope this helps, and if anyone else had suggestion/tips feel free to chime in.
