what the fuck is up with that. Why of all places in that location facing the driver side suspension?
anyway so the guys who did the swap for him clearly must have decided it would be fun to fuck us the 1st time by putting a larger filter in the stock location so it basically almost touches the drivers side suspension pillar. I swear they must have not thought it through before putting it in and strapping it down. We couldn't get a filter cap in there let alone wrench to turn it, so i hammered a hole in the filter and turned it with a large pole. Sorry guys just had to vent... i swear i would rather do a 7m over this shit any day of the week, this is far too much for me :(

1JZ stock oil filter + Larger then stock filter = 5 hours of fun :(

I have trouble with mine to. Can't get my arm and hand down there to really change the thing ....lol

I was thinking a relocation kti as well (down the road that is, out of cash). Then i could add in an oil cooler as well. It seems like Greddy has a Nice Kit for the oil filter relocation.

kyle when you go under, there is a fuel line that gets in the way...
And we're not super buff, just well toned to say the least. We can barely get our arms in there to turn it without hitting either the dipstick tube, or the clutch master cyl..

i couldn't get to it from the top but it was easy to get to from underneath, i just leaked oil everywhere. i use a pureone filter and it's pretty small... i did leak oil everywhere though. only put the filter on hand tight.

loosen filter, put ziplock bag over filter, continue to take off filter. all the oil falls in the bag and you don't make a mess.
