Ahhhhhhh, call me young grasshopper oh wise master. Its all makes sense now. Well then I guess I'll just have to run 12psi all the time (when I fix the damn thing). Thanks heaps, I love it when poeple know what there talking about. Well I guess this idea can go to the scrap heap with the idea of having ejector seats in a helicopter. Thanks once again

Hrmm I wonder if running them in parallel like Encomiast was talking about would work. "T" the line before the MBC's and then "T" them back together after the MBC's. The same pressure would run to both of them but the 9 psi one would open sooner, relieving the pressure from pushing the 12 psi MBC open. Then to switch to the 12 psi, you would make the 9 psi really tight (making it act like a plug). I guess this would work if the MBC's were a black and white thing (open and closed, no inbetween). I was always under the impression that an MBC would still let a little pressure through, but not as much.

I think that's what GrimJack explained above ;)
The ball-and-spring type doesn't let any pressure through until the bleed pressure is reached.

By simply putting two MBCs in parallel and fully opening or fully closing one of them, you could switch between stock boost and the adjusted boost.
Add one MBC in front of the variable MBC (i.e. have two MBCs in a row and one bypass MBC T'd parallel to both of them) and you can switch/adjust between two pre-settable boost levels :D
