What do you guys think of this:

I'd probably get it powdercoated black instead of the silver. Looks like it would sit nice and low. I'd like to use it for my AEM electronic wideband and boost gauge.

Opinions? :)

they're made of solid aluminum, you drill 3 holes in your plastic steering column plastic trim thing, and they go for about $120-130 online.... i just called perinn and you can get 1 for $113 wholesale (wow big savings!) ... and $104 if you spend $2k (20 pcs)... so it's not really worth the effort i don't think to setup a group buy when you only spend $20 more to buy it online.

i was kind of thinking the same... but if it's powdercoated black it won't stick out as much, plus with the two AEM gauges in there all lit up with LEDs i don't think people will be looking at the gauge pod at all.

i don't think so. I have 1 52mm wideband right in the middle on top and it sticks up quite a bit and it doesn't block too much... i think it blocks some of the tach from 6000+rpms.... this one would sit lower since it's more on the sides and where they would sit, i dont' think there's anything to block. i could be wrong, i dunno, i figure its worth a try.

Probably at the same level its hard to see the other gauge, but not at the angle you sit at.

I think its nice, but not worth the money (IMO)

Velcro FTW

Hahah, i just can't jsutify spending 100+ bucks on a simple gauge pod. When you need to take it off, you dont think it would be a bit of a hassle?

And me not wanting to spend 100 bucks on a peice of plasitc is not the reason companies dont make parts for our cars. It becuase not many people have them and its 20+ years old :)

first off its aluminum. second of all just because it LOOKS simple you obviously dont understand all the R&D that goes into things like that.....

and no youre wrong... companies dont make parts for us because of your exact statement. theres TONS of parts for other older cars....

nice response

anyways.....

i think the piece looks nice but i dont think it will be wide enough to NOT be in the view of the gauge cluster..... but go for it...maybe you can mod it to make it work properly if it doesnt right out of the box.

ok well i talked to the guy again and told him how insulted i was by the lousy 25% off for quanitity purchasing, so now he said he can give me 40% off... that makes them like $70 each + shipping but i need to buy a min. of 20. you think i could get enough people for a group buy? silver is the only color unfortunately. i guess you could use a spray can if you wanna go the cheap route... or get it powdercoated.

what do you guys think?

so i'll take pictures and show you guys what it looks like and if all goes well we'll make a group buy.
