A buddy of mine is selling his Turbo XS DTEC boost controller with knock light, game boy, and game boy stand for 500.00 ...I was wondering what you guys think about the system.

I don't want a manual boost controller because the humidity and air temp around here varies too much. With a little extra part or two it can be used as a fuel and ignition computer too...like maft-pro. Which i'm leaning more towards because I know it works.
i know the system you are talking about and i looked around for some to see if any supra owners were using it. unfortunately i couldnt find much information past that 
$500 is alot to spend of an ebc when you can get a really nice one for $200-$300. I agree that MBCs are the cheapest route and i also agree that they are not always accurate. go get a nice hks or greddy one.

The DTEC was used in the WRX world to work with their UTEC engine management system. Alot of the WRX owners enjoyed using them... but I havent seen any Supra owners use them. I would say spen a tad bit more and get the Maft-Pro.
