Woah, where have you been lately??? I haven't seen you post in a while!

Been quite thoroughly consumed in the real world. LOL. I just happen to have a bit of a dead spot during the off season here.

This is pretty dumb. I can't believe I'm seeing something like this here. You say theft is no problem? It doesn't matter if you're stock or not, people can just steal your parts then sell them to other people, if not save them as replacements for their own supras. Not to mention threat of rain, etc.

There's always the slim possibility of forign objects getting into your now open engine bay and fucking shit up.

I would also doubt that your engine cooling would work correctly without the hood.

Due to the fact that you want to remove the hood to show off the engine, it's a stupid idea.

If your hood was in the paint shop or you had a legit excuse for it, and then put it back on as soon as you got it back, that would be acceptable. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and it's a very, very stupid idea.

Doesn't matter if you're NA or turbo, don't do it.

You'd get owned in Fresno anyways.

you can always ask a local law enforcement officer of the legality of the subject.

personally if i had done alot of work on my engine and im proud of it, i wouldnt want to give the birds a chance to use my engine as a liter box. not to mention people are assholes in general, so while someone might not take something ill bet they will try fucking with something

If you really want to show off your engine, get an acrylic hood. Although, I don't think such a thing exists for the MKIII, and even if it does I'm not sure if it actually looks good.

Driving hoodless, even if legal, is stupid and just another way to borrow trouble.

Sorry, it seems to me u knew exactly what i ment.

Sorry i had error in my last post.

Im just messing with you..:D

but as it's been stated before, having no hood on is just asking for shit to fall into the engine bay (bird shit, leaves, PINE NEEDLES) and mess shit up...

there is no need to drive without a hood...
