Yeah. I've had a couple flow calls as a passenger in the mountains and my mom wrecked her front end last year hitting a deer east of Castle Rock.

They will *destroy* a car...

Bah, deer are a nuisance. Elk are nastier. Bears are deadly. Moose will charge the car - hell, I've seen moose charge a TRAIN. Trains win... cars, not so much - a full grown bull moose can take your car at 65 mph, spin you around, destroy your car, and not even fall down. I'm not bitter about that miserable moose at all.

I'm 23 and I drive like a complete maniac; although not nearly as bad as I used to. I've had a few incidents that have cooled me down a bit. My liscense is suspended ATM tho, but I still drive around all the time. (having a suspended liscense is good motivation to drive around the speed limit) :D

In protest of those people with fast cars that don't drive them fast. When I had my supra (last one was stolen) I'd open it up almost every time it was propperly warmed up. So in a given week you'd see me driving anywhere from 120+ - 150+ mph at least 6 days out of the week, multiple times a day. I, for one, will NOT let a fast car go to waste.

I find driving the supra if anything makes me drive slower on the highway because I'm close to 3k at around 110kmph.

I've found that if you don't pay attention to your gauges it's hard to tell how fast you're going on the highway. I once found myself doing 120+ mph when i thought i was doing about 60mph. I was pissed off about something though and not really paying attention, but it DID feel like about 60mph.

And how thankful we ALL are that your license is suspended. If only that kept you off the roads... :nono:

If you want to drive 120-150+ and think a car is going to waste, you may need to work your ass off to afford to be a member at a race track. Please dont turn the public roads into your own... :nono:

I'm 29. From the moment i started driving, i was driving grandma style and very cautios. As the years passed, i switced to more powerfull and more "drivers cars" ewery year. Also, gained experience to control them. Now, i still drive easy, but there a times when i blank out my mind and take my driving closer to extreeme. Of course, on an empty street or in a place ment for that. Winter is another story. I'm always drifting slightly on purpose.

Man, am I glad we're in an area with 95% deer and antelope, never heard of moose charging vehicles before. Hell, they're heavy enough, I could see them (sorta) winning against a car. Nobody really wins with a headbutt. ;)

That's what I love about my Mk2, those cars have such a beautiful natural slip angle, they're so easy to drive in winter... Just be careful, some cops know the difference between losing traction on accident and losing traction on purpose. :p

While I'll agree that these cars are highly capable, and deceptively smooth (I know how 60mph "feels" in these cars haha), I will say, I hope you have REALLY good insurance. If some idiot happens to pull out in front of you at the wrong time at speeds like that, you WILL hit something or someone, and at the very least destroy your car. Not to mention, felony speeding, MANSLAUGHTER charges, reckless driving, etc... that's enough to put you behind bars for a good while, not to mention the civil suits that can be brought against you. I promise you that you could attend track events every weekend (don't even NEED a license for most of those!), and it would still come out cheaper in the long run than the consequences of driving like an asshole on public roads where you can't rely on ANYONE but your own actions to stay out of your way.

It would be awfully hypocritical of me to say "speeding is bad, blah blah blah", but give it some serious thought. Is losing your job, car, home, and potential future worth 30 seconds of adrenaline?

I suppose, I also forgot that for the past while I've been driving with a gutted interior and a 3" turboback so the exhaust note is a lot more distinguishable depending on rpm. The car really does feel the same when its going 70kmph as it does 140kmph.

23. No more than 5 over unless I'm doing a random sprint here and there. I judge other peoples driving a lot and it pisses me off when people are too lazy to signal or track straight and centered in a lane. I regularly have to drive on a road where the speed limit is 45 and people just don't want to go the speed limit. Usually ends up with me shifting down to 2nd and scooting past the first chance I get haha.

I usually do like 10 over everywhere because I'm always thinking I'm late. I've gotten one ticket when I was 17, been lucky ever since.

As for the tracking in a lane, I think it's all about perspective... I had to drive the shop truck out to the local airport the other day, and it is a LOT more difficult to drive that thing than it is my car. I normally whine and get irritated when people drive clearly WELL below the limits of the vehicle, but after driving that thing... I appreciate just how easy it is to drive my car.

I hear ya on the passing people bit. I'll be that prick that drives a bit slow if someone is tailgating me, but if they're driving slow just to go slow, I'll usually pass em...

I'm 24, never had a ticket.... though wen I was 22 and first got my DL I was never under 50MPH on city streets and never under 85MPH (though I've never gone over 110 on public roads) on highways... and people who drive under the speed limit I used to mess with just because they piss me off (still do this >.>) But now I drive right at or 2~5MPH over the speed limit, slow/Stupid drivers still make me mad (I have been known to yell very nasty things at people who slow traffic down) I pass people wen ever i feel the need.. IMHO 90% of posted speed limits are too slow so ANYTIME someone drives UNDER it... I pass, even if it's a two lane... only difference is I pass at WOT on two lane roads :p

Oh... and I hate people who need to slow down damn near to a stop to pull into a parking lot... I've had people go 3MPH through a left while it's turning yellow.... austin has the slowest, stupidest drivers man.... lets just say my horn gets a good workout here lol

I used to spend a bit of time driving a little slower than traffic in the middle lanes in the Phoenix area. Never know what's gonna creep up on ya there... ;)

21, two speeding tickets. Both going 15 over the posted limit. First time I was excited because I got a really good grade on the final project of my senior year in highschool (was really nervous about it), second time I was going with the flow of traffic on a highway, cop decided to pick me over the others... (both tickets in a non-standoutish car)
