The first step should always be to check the codes. If you're driving along the interstate at 85mph, and your motor drops out under the car and rolls through 6 lanes of busy traffic at rush hour, check your codes!

I'll remember that the next time.......and ignore the fact that the car has now stopped in the intersection with an incoming 18-wheeler on the way. "Everyone calm down, I need to check my codes before moving this...." ;)

But yeah, will do.....now will it still generate a code if there is no CEL with the key at the ON position?

If you CEL is not on when you turn your ignition on your ECU is not getting power. It’s probably your EFI relay! Mine did this same thing. The relay tested fine and after going through everything else I pulled one off another sup and it fired up and have never had a problem since. If your AFC is not getting power that is because the AFC is powered by the EFI relay if you wired it correctly. If you’re in a bind you can make a jumper wire and jump the relay to get power. Although that is probably bad..lol The relay is right behind your battery in the fuse and relay box there and should be labeled. It’s a grey round relay that you can pull off of just about any Toyota car or truck. They are really expensive at the dealer.

It takes 10 seconds guys. I asked you back in post 13.

If your CEL is not on with key on you got a problem.

my suppie died simularly once on a bounty hunt. i had no electronic mods tho. but it was a battery terminal that was weak. i luckily had one already.

with power out on the afc... it there a way to bypass power to it? to help keep ya goin till ya get to check all the wires.
