i was wondering what the weight of the r154 is first off. i also wanted to know if anybody has the weight of any of the mkII,mkIII, or mkIV complete rear end anssembly and lengths from outer hub to outer hub. i did a little searching but im not too familiar with this site. so if i could just be pointed in the right direction of another thread, or just help me out a little i would appreciate it

Not 100% sure on the MkIII diff, since it has been years sence I last shipped one,
but somewhere around 85 pounds.
I know they are a bitch to pull by yourself at a scrap yard.:aigo:

holy hell, i got all the weight specs im looking for and no longer need the lenghts. thats too much damn weight to add. for the whole rear suspension and lsd thats 337lbs. i think ill go with something off of a subaru or eclipse. the tranny is only 20lbs heavier than mine so theres not much worry there.

Yup, big stuff.
But subi parts won't take 800 HP either........
Supra diffs will.

nothing but the diff in a supra will take 800hp without big money...most r154's start failing at the 450hp mark

well being as how my car currently weighs under 2000lbs, i only need 300-400hp for any situation. its not a drag car either so im not lookin for any big hp numbers. it form and function. but i do have to use the r154

An r154 in a 2000 pound car would hold retarded amounts of hp!

agreed! lol im not all worried about that. i want my car to be around 2250lbs or under when im done, but well see. not to many 350hp rwd cars under 2500lbs. ill be gettin about 8 grand in financial aid and tax returns late january early feb, so ill def be lookin for some parts around then

he so after a relentless battle in court over some bs and 11,000 dollars later, i became distracted and extremely broke. but now im back on track. i have a fabricator planning all the fabricating out, quoted me around 1500 minus the 10 point cage i should be getting in the next month or so. thank god the R154 clutch disk is 9" OD (as ive heard from some jeep forums) cause thats the same as the neon clutch disk, but i cant seem to find the width of the clutch disk. i was wondering if there was a spec thread somewhere or if someone could measure the ID, OD, and width of a disk they have laying around. as far as progress, im picking up my rx7 fc T2 rear clip this weekend and my mom is picking me up an R154 from boise this weekend and ill get down there asap to pick it up. fabbing will start for sure september when i get the money, maybe earlier depending on how finances go
