Okay so i have been having this issue ever since i bought the car, originally when i got the car, the driver side door hinges were fcked up, and so every time the door opens, the other end of the door opposite of the hinges drops about maybe .5-1" and then eventually i got the hinges replaced. After I have been noticing that before i close my door, the glass is not parallel with the glass seal on the chassis. Literally before i close the door, the glass is slanted more inwards toward the rubber seals, therefore causing the driver door to need more force to close, do you think it has to do with the window regulator or the guide pieces inside the door? ill take a pic of the driver side door clearance with the rubber seals in comparison to the passenger side.

Heres the passenger door, notice the glass is parallel with the glass seal,

Look at the driver door, glass is more towards the inside...

You need to just take it apart and see whats going on. From the history you describe, it's probably crash damage.

I have the same problem, my door sags and once I open the door the window rests on the seal from the door panel instead of the outside door seal, so water could just come in. That explains why I'm starting to get cancer at the bottom of my door!

Not really, AFAIK water is allowed to enter the door. If it's rotting out it's probably because the drain has become obstructed.

well, when it had the crash, the door was not damaged at all, so what could be the reason? are door window mechanisms really that weak? lol

You won't really know unless you take your door apart and look at it. I am looking at this drivers side window i have in my room (no idea why I have it) and it looks like there might be some adjustment in the track/mounts.

Take apart the door panel, you can make the adjustment by adjusting the 2 nuts and a hex bolt on the glass guide. Make sure you adjust by turning both at equal intervals. Turning clockwise will make the glass go more inside, while turning counter clockwise will make the glass go outward.......hmm, is it the other way around?.....damn, forgot now. But go ahead and try it.

I have a spare drivers door that you can have stuff off if you want to head up this way again (I'm in Woodinville now).

The other thing that you want to look at are the white "brackets" that kind of lock the window into the right angle when it'd up all the way. Those can be broken and cause the window to lean in like that. You can get those at the dealer - the door I have doesn't have them anymore..

Hello, Nube here. Hey this is kind of on topic with the drivers window. My Supra was broken into on fri nite. They broke out the drivers window :: angry :: and stole a couple of things:icon_evil . I've never removed nor installed a side glass, any tricks or advice to be had here? Or even a step by step instruction :1zhelp: thanks in advance for any help. Gary
