If it won't start when hot wiring to the starter, it's just low votage, or really bad ground. There's nothing else in the circuit when you jump from battery to starter...

okay, fixed the power issue. turns out i put a lug on a ground wire with a new battery terminal. unfortunately i bought one that was epoxy coated and didn't realize a ground wasn't there.

now, she starts by key, but won't rev. am about to check codes, printed em off the tsrm. its wierd, she revs a little on her own, puffs rich, smooth, puffs rich. any ideas?

do the rpm's jump? after i reset the ecu in my car, the idle jumps up and down till i shut it off and restart it. then it wants to learn again.

other than that all i can think of is tps, afm, and cps.

okay, got the code, only throwing 2. one is a water temp sensor, from which the wire is frayed and now connected. second is a 51. can't find it on the tsrm.

when she starts she still idles rough, sounding like a domestic with a big cam. i kinda like the sound but know its noo where near normal.

did a search on code 51, don't know why it didn't make the print up. will adjust tps or replace.

You didn't mess with the plug wires, did you?
When I had my plug wires in wrong as 1-6-3-5-2-4 it sounded like it had a big lopey cam kind of.

the correct order is 1-6-3-4-2-5. Straightened right out.

i was going to say check the terminals... mine were coroded bad and it would move headlights up and down... as soon as i cleaned them my car fired up...

i could guess about the rev problem but i would rather have someone who knows what it is say

okay, wires, coil and igniter are good. found #3 injector harness popped off injector causing some of the loping idle. she idles a bit smoother, but won't rev beyond 1500-2k.

*NOTE* for the first time the gauge(7.5amp) fuse popped. used a 10, it popped. i kept an eye on it and placed a 20. i saw the fuse get hot and pop. the car never had this problem before. do i need to start ripping out the dash, or should i drive without gauges?

Do not put a higher rated fuse than what it came with. Check the circuit that blows the fuse for a direct ground. If the wiring seems ok, the component could be short, giving you a direct ground.

its one hot @ss day. i went and found my reverse light wire cut by the intake. moved it out of the way and fuse is no longer blowing out. however, now she starts and stalls. won't even stay on.

and now shes near finished. almost everything works now. found part of the ignition holding on by a strand. she boosts quite lovely and makes me feel like i have balls again. currently now have an idle surging problem, but that shouldn't be to hard to fix. thanks for the input guys!
