well im not sure if its my tire, or maybe the drive shaft, but i just got my car registered and i been driving it on the highway and once i go around 75+mph the car vibrates like crazy, could that be my drive shaft or may be a bad tire? car runs good, and i brought it up to 110mph but then i brought it down fast just incase cause i felt like something would happen. maybe some one can know my problem and hope some one could post.

thanks

check to see if your driveshaft is out of phase as well, its actually 3 pieces, and if the rear section gets out of phase it will cause a vibration.

If it is the carrier bearing, i've seen a is300 bearing modded with the stock one to work and it will save you over 50% from buying from the dealer.

Check your drive shaft carrier bearing. - can only get it from toyota too.

Hvy, driftmotion sells it as well. Just letting you know.

But if it is the center bearing, Id say just buy a single driveshaft. Drop the extra 100 to 150 bucks and enjoy.

Can someone help me on this one: "out of phase" Please help me understand
Also, would a one piece shaft vibrate more, it's that's why Toyota went with a carrier bearing?
Thank you

No a one peice should not vibrate more. Provided it was balanced correctly, and nothing is miss aligned between your tranny and diff.

Out of phase means out of sync. Or it isnt working together properly.

well came to find out that, when i did my e-brake cables, the shaft that meets with the rear end was NOT fully bolted up, i bought the car from a kid that did not know jack shit about this car, so i traded him with my turbo tercel, so i did the e-brake and bolted up the shaft properly, nice and tight, and took it on the highway at 105mph and no more vibration, bearing is still decent, small play but dont have a problem yet, thanks guys for the support, and yea im looking at the single shaft since those are easy to take off and less worries about the center bearing and what not.
