Im almost done with my 1jz swap aside from wiring. After wiring I need to get my exhaust work done i.e. down pipe back and aftermarket wastegate to manifold.

My mods so far are:

Master power T70
Aristo 440's
X02 manifold
Driftmotion 3" Dp
x02 44mm wastegate
Driftmotion 2.5 IC piping kit
Front mount IC
Driftmotion 50mm wastegate

What I need to know is, will it be driveable without the wastegate on the flange? At least enough to get me to the exhaust shop?

You can run with open downpipe. Not sure about wastegate port open. You can try to block it so no exhaust fumes in your engine bay that could spark and blow the shit up.

I believe he is going to the shop to get a wastegate port added to his manifold. So essentially he is just running a manifold and a turbo.

If you can deal with the whole open DP open wastegate sound all the way to the exhaust shop.

With no wastegate, you will have 0 psi going through the motor, so you will not be able to accelerate quickly (as long as you have a tube to weld the flange on, otherwise, you may just hit 40+ psi and boom).
