Im a new member here and I got to say that i've learned alot lurking around other ppl's post's lol. So i want to share what's going down with my supra.
After weeks of researching and reading other ppl's experience with different motors and so on. I've decided to go with the overshadowed 1j with the help of Aaron @ Driftmotion.com - a well known vendor with great reviews here on SupraMania.
Been dealing with Aaron for the past month or so about the 1j swap into my 85 p-type supra.
^ Wont be missing those annoying oil spills anymore =)
^ B4 the attack of oxidation!
Last look of the 5m.. you've done your part RIP
So far everything is going as planned, Aaron is an easy going guy with an amazing ability to multitask. Seriously, this dudes phone rings non-stop! And still manages to do his thing around the shop!
While waiting for his current projects to finish, I made final decisions on items that Im going with.

-Water pump
-Timing Belt
-Rear Main Seal
-Front Main Seal
-Valve Cover gasket
-Leak-Down test
-Basically a well inspected engine
R-154
Action Stage 3, 6 puck disk Clutch Kit
FMIC 2.5inch
1jz lightweight Flywheel
3" Aluminum Driveshaft
Ditching the twins from the start and jumping on a 57Trim/.58 AR Single Turbo Kit (some may think its a bit small, but im going for Fast SPOOL!)
Walbro Fuel pump
3" Catless exhaust system w/resonator & dual tip muffler
Custom DwnPipe
Stock ECU
Stock 370 injectors (looking for 550cc injectors if anyones selling)
AC will be working
This set-up should get me 300-320 WHP!! Not bad comming from a 5m =)
This is going to be used as a Daily Driver so no plans of seeing a drag strip anytime soon so BIG hp isnt for me.
Future WHP Goal ~ 450ish.
