go to an autocross. the guys will think you are a newb for drifting on the autocross course, but ignore them, you are just trying to learn.
I say go to an autocross because then your mind is occupied with controlling the car around the course, not with the actual drifting part.
If i go into a parking lot and toss out some cones and try to drift around them, i can't do it. i'll almost always either lose the drift or spin out. however, at the autocross, when i'm looking out for those next couple cones, i can hit some mean drifts.
once i leave the auto-x tho.....bring on the spinouts :)

EDIT: get some tires with a decent sidewall: i recomend Hankook Ventu RS-2's

You don't need different tie rods. You just need little spacers. They're usually about 1/4" thick and you put them on the threads on the inner tie rod that goes into the rack. This will space out the stop on the inner tie rod out from the rack and allow the rack to travel further giving you more steering angle.

If there's a bunch of you guys that want these, I can talk to my machine shop guy on Monday and see if he can do a quick run and I'll run a group buy on them. But only if there's enough interest. It's not worth making them if it's only a couple people.

Pricing should be under $20 shipped, I just need to get the drawings to my machine shop and tell him how many I need and he'll let me know how much.

Tim

For that kind of price, I'd be interested in a set or two.
