I love how people litterly burn through their money like that. If you keep doing those launches like that it wont matter what you put in car your just gonna go through it again. Im not trying to sound like a dick but you can only blame yourself.

I've heard of heavier pressure plates causing crankwalk, despite the car not being made in Normal, IL (DSM joke). As far as burning through clutches, I think you are free to do that as often as you are willing to split the engine/tranny and buy another set to put in haha. There should be a strong enough clutch for you out there that will take your abuse, and it may be expensive; but if you continue your current habits, it is likely cheaper in the long run to get an overkill-sized clutch

The goal is to buy a nicer clutch in the near future. I do alot of my big purchases with my tax return. This last year I bought an AEM EMS V2. I personally think that was a better investment this is my plan is to go with a better clutch this rps is just temperary and i'm trading a good friend of mine some parts and a little cash for it to get the car back on the road instead of sitting on jack stands.

It's the black pressure plate not the blue one. Have you still heard of the lighter pressure plates causing problems? One thing i'm very leary about. I was also looking at the HPF Bronze clutch what are your opinions there?

I'll post a picture up of the pressure plate but i'm almost certain it's to far gone. Whatever it is I just need it to last till this winter so 4 or 5 more months.
The way I see it, you have a couple options:

-put in a new clutch (a cheapish one) that will last you until the end of the year (or however long you need it to), and drive VERY reservedly, or...
-spend the money now for a proper clutch that will handle the torque you're putting out.

Buddy of mine has the same problem. His 7m has to be making around 600whp, and the clutch he is running is a joke. If his tires catch, the clutch fries. If his clutch catches, the tires fry. However, with the tires pouring smoke, he still walks away from me like I'm towing another Supra behind me.

I agree with this. Either do it right once, or do it wrong repeatedly. Either way, it's going to cost you some money.

Or, you know, drive like you ALWAYS have a cop behind you. That should give the clutch a chance to survive. :p

On the RPS, you've heard our warnings, up to you to either heed them, or do your own research and come to your own conclusion. :)

Ah your makin me nervous brad lol. I'll do a bit more research before it goes in tonight. I do have the clutch safety switch looped over all the normal JZ stuff. I've considered using the old pressure plate but it's just so rough not sure if it would make the clutch eat itself.

I'm a firm believer of doing something right the 1st time and I would really like to put a nice clutch in the car. I just don't have the funding at the moment so i'm probably going to have to resort to this option for now and plan on replacing it this winter.

I really appreciate everyone's input though.
