Hi
I'm new to the forum.
Own a 1990 turbo, UK spec.
I get a lot of wind noise and draft through the mirror areas of the door windows above 40mph; if I put my thumb on the rubber lining the windows the draft stops.

The rubbers seem fine, its just that they're not as compressed onto the glass as I'd like. Can anyone tell me, do I need to buy new rubbers, alter the mirrors somehow (I read this could cause the problem), or are there superior aftermarket window rubbers that remove this problem.

Maybe I've been spoilt by modern cars, but I'm sure my Supra is noiser than it was designed to be.

Many thanks in advance

Will

I've tried the door seals even the rubber inside the mirror housing and has not helped. I did find this on SF and have not tried it yet.

The black triangular bit of rubber is the culprit.. as the window goes up and down over the years the gap increases, making the noise.

The solution is to get a pair of pliers wraped in a cloth (to protect the rubber/metal bit) and hit the down button on the window..

Squeeze ether side of the black bit between the pliers all the way up from top to bottom, be careful and dont apply too much pressure. Close the gap in small increments until the gap between the thing is a bit smaller.

go for a drive and see if its cured it.
