Hey.

I'm getting a 2.5" cat-back. And maybe aftermarket pacesetter headers, although I've heard a lot of various experiences. Anyway, my question is what to do with the exhaust between the headers and the cat-back, or downpipe as you call it. Is there any aftermarket 2.5" pipe?

Header, not plural. Header will come with a mid pipe that bolts to the cat, then the cat-back bolts to the other end of the cat ;)

Iirc, the inlet and outlet on the cat is right around 3". You might find the OBX to be a better header as well. Either way, there are some modifications that have to be made to them.

Was thinking of the outlet of the pacesetter header. I don't have a cat on my car though, it's only this "muffler" kinda box insted.

Hm, got any info on the OBX headers? Price? Link to who sells it?

Ebay has the OBX header. I heard they are built kinda crappy. I have teh Pacesetter header and for 100 bucks, I'm pleased with it. If yo do get the Pacesetter, the O2 sensor is relocated farther down the mid pipe so you will have to either lengthen your O2 sensor wire or just plug the hole in the pipe and run rich. I opted for the later because I suck at doing anything related to wiring.

Some people say that OBX header is crappy, others say the pacesetter is not so good either. But there are also a lot of happy owners on both sides. I bought a OBX through eBay yesterday anyway. Stainless steel, and good welds(at least on pics), so recon I'll be happy with it.

I'v had the OBX for 2+ years now, no problems. Like I said, it needs to be modified a bit. Once its done, you'll never have to buy another one...
There's a few things you'll need to do before you install it. O2 bung is wrong in every way. Cap it, cut it off and weld it closed, whatever. Get a universal o2 bung welded in just below the "Y" on the lower section, and use a Bosch universal single wire o2.

You may have to open some of the bolt holes up a bit, as they didn't center quite right on mine. Also, the top of the front end of the flange may need to bo ground down a bit for a good fit. You'll need to get the two sections welded together(the clamps won't hold for long). I test fit mine by putting tightening a few of the nuts at the head, then installed the lower section, and bolted it to the cat. Clearly marked both pieces, removed them, and took them to get welded.

If you read up in the header thread, one of our local vendors sells them already modified. want to say 935motorsports, but not really sure. You might be able to work something out with him, though...
