Hey I got a stupid question. I got an 89 supra about a couple of weeks ago. And every time I go to unlock it the alarm goes off. Does anybody know what I might be doing wrong. All I do is put in the key and turn it clockwise to unlock the door. I don't touch anything and the alarm goes off.

The simple and effective way to fix this problem if you dont mind not having an alarm is to disconnect the small plug on your hood latch. This will trick the alarm to thinking the hood is always open thus never arming the alarm.

The more complicated way to properly fix your problem is to completely dissemble the door lock, clean it out and fix/replace electrical contacts that sense the key being inserted. See: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39358

there's a sensor clipped onto the back of the lock cylinder in the doors. When you turn the key it turns and arms/disarms the alarm. I would check and see if that's still on/working.
