Door lock question.

are the new keys from toyota propper keys, ie with the black rubbery plastic part with toyota written on it? and i take it from the other posts saying passenger door lock that i would have to remove the drivers door lock with mine being rhd

I couldn't tell you which cyl you need to pull if it's not USDM. As for the rubber topped keys, in the US the pre89 ones have apparently been discontinued.

The new keys have the black plastic but Toyota is not on it. I'm not sure on what lock cylinder you would need on a UK Supra.

No, they're not discontinued.

Yes, you can get original keys.

Yes, I can cut keys by eye sometimes, I'm not as good at it as some people, if you take your key to a locksmith, they definitely can cut you a brand new key. Not all dealers will be able to cut it by eye, but I reckon there's probably one in most people's area that can.

Anyways, glad you got new keys.
