What kind of solutions are there for the rubber seals around the targa top, doors, and hatchback? Just about done with my Supra and will be driving it soon (fingers crossed). I got some leaks.

Also, what about the trim around the hatchback? I have a black 87 and a lot of the plastic trim is faded and marked up. Should I remove and paint?

Thanks again!

I bought the seals at my dealer just a couple weeks ago. Only like $220 for all four associated with the targa. I'm having the bodyshop that's painting my car paint the trim gloss black. I had to get the side trim for the hatch replaced though because the weatherstripping attached to it that keeps crap from getting in the gap(channel) is cracking. FUN! Prob. could have just tore it all the way off...freakin' OCD, lol

I just replaced my targa seals this weekend. Was like $160 for just the front and rear seals from HPF. Haven't gotten around to the actual side seals on the roof yet, and hoping to test my efforts this weekend, but the new rubber versus the old is quite a difference. The new stuff will likely be a lot thicker and fresher feeling than your old seals.

I sealed up where my spoiler mounts with automotive Goop, hoping that will have done the trick, I find the idea of putting new gaskets (there's quite a few from what I could gather digging through Toyota's EPC) on my spoiler, so... we'll see how my homebrew solution works out for me.
