depression is very difficult to deal with. some people need to go on medication for it but i personally believe that you have complete control over your mind and body and you have to find a way to take control.
healthy diet, exercise, set goals for your self and achieve them.
you have to find things that make you happy that arent drugs or drinking. i think going out and having some beers with friends is completely fine, but you have to make sure that you dont replace your methods of achieving happiness with drinking or drugs.

depression can also be caused by boredom and if youre asking for opinions here, i think you have to nut up and get a job.
why can you only get a minimum wage job? if not having a degree is a problem, then go back to school, then get a real job.
those goals right there should be able to get you back on track.
i dont know how good i could feel about my self if i lived on hand outs. earning my own and fending for my self is something i greatly look forward to.
my parents help me with school right now and honestly i cant wait to get my degree and start working. not that i am not having fun right now, but i will be very happy once i can afford my own place and pay my own way.
