Be patient, delaying the dyno run isn't the end of the world. Besides putting your car on the dyno with the broken motor mount AND a faulty DS isn't a sound idea, that could lead to bigger problems and more expense. I'm sending you the motor mounts today, I would also take gaboonviper's advice and buy either a shaftmasters DS or one from the Drive Shaft Shop. I have an aluminum DS from DSS and it's great, easy bolt in, fits perfect and I think it was a good upgrade. With the new motor mounts and a new DS you ease any concerns about doing any damage to the diff. Besides I would think your dyno numbers would be better.

Yeah, I stuck a screwdriver in the inspection ports on the tranny and pry'd on the flywheel and the pressure plate. My clutch and fidanza are newly installed. Like 1k miles...

I'm going for the driveline now. Be back after I take it for a test drive.

I always asked what I last fucked with with when I have problem. Personally I would inspect clutch/flwheel again. Both drive shafts have a shimmy? Did you try the third too? It would suck missing your dyno but a broken car that far from home would be worse I think.

I inspected the mount closer and it's not busted all the way through. Not YET anyway. The crack is about 1/4 to a 1/3 through. The vibration isn't extreme, it's just that the car isn't as smooth as it was prior.

That is definitely good advice. I think I'm going to try it; but, certainly won't push my luck. I don't like living on the edge especially when it comes to an MKIII!!!

If something doesn't feel right once I get on the freeway (70-80) I'll head back, park it, and take the Mini. Mini'Van' that is... ;)

Thanks again Fred! :)

Clutch/Fly wheel had no play when prying with a pry bar. I rotated the engine and ensured all pressure plate bolts were tight.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure both drivelines have a problem. One has a bad carrier bearing for sure, and the other has mis-aligned u-joints.

I agree. One should not risk a further broken car for a Dyno run!!

We'll see how it all goes.

Thanks everyone!!!!!

What about your Tranny mount? that can cause a good amount of Vibration!

Also I'm getting a new 1 piece made locally for $250 with all new yokes and completely balanced with a 1 year warranty.

I sent you a pm

Sent your engine mounts out UPS this afternoon. Will be there next Friday, I'll
send you a PM with the tracking #. Glad to see that you postponed the dyno
session, a wise decision for the long run.

Whoa! There were a lot of responses while I was out of town. Sweet!

To all those that have one piece DL's. Is there more vibration than with the stock one and is there a concern of twisting?

I have a spare tranny mount and will try that.

As far as the rear end, when I let out my clutch, there is a clunk that can be felt and heard. When I rotate the rear end flange (DL out) with my hand there is about an 1/8th of a rotational inch. If that's even a correct term... ;)

A HUGE thanks to Fred for the getting those mounts out to me. I will replace them IMMEDIATELY upon arrival!!

And just to inform everyone, on my last test drive after doing all the inspections, driveline switches, tranny mount removals, flywheel and pressure plate evaluations...the vibration wasn't that bad so I went ahead and drove it. There were sweet spots in MPH so I just set the cruise there. I determined that some of my vibration feels like an out of balance tire. There were just done so...

All is good and all went well. I'll post the results on a different thread. They're printer was broken so I couldn't get a print out. They're supposed to send me one that includes, boost, HP, TQ, and AFR's.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for everyone's replies! I appreciate it!!!!
