I'd say my guy and I have a lot in common.

We're very much alike in our general beliefs and views of the world (politics, religion, and what not). And we're both focused on school and doing everything we can to secure a decent future.

But we're also different in some ways. He likes cars and guns and I like to sew and make scrap books and other crafty things. But I also like to go shooting with him. But there's nothing we actually disagree on; we have different interests but we see most things the same way. So in that sense we have a lot in common.

Ohhh... and we both love dogs!!!!! :icon_bigg

I've never met anyone that is any more like me than my wife is.

We listen to the same music and share an equally [very] strong passion for it. She has played guitar for nearly 5 years and I hope to eventually learn to play with her help. We have the same taste in clothing-which is kind of a skater-ish/metalhead/dirtbike-and-atv-rider blend. I really like my Supra and am very much into cars and she has become very interested in and learned about about them. She has skated off and on for almost 5 years and I'd like to have her teach me to. When I lived in MI I snowboared for 3 years and she has since become a snowboarder as well (we'll get back into that when we move back to SoCal). I've had three atv's and really want another one and she wants me to be the one to teach her how to ride so that we can ride together when it becomes possible to get one for each of us. We have very similar religious beliefs. We have the same conservative viewpoints when it comes to politics and the future of our nation (Thank God!). We are both perfectionists and have done/do very well for ourselves when it comes to education and are very creative people. We have both share a very similar preference when it comes to food. We are both into the same type of household decorations. We both share an affinity for travelling (separately sucks-that's not included).

I also could make a very long list but I think you all get the point. I love my wife more than anything and I would do anything for her at the drop of a dime. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me-without a doubt.

I wish you all the same luck/good fate if you haven't already found your permanent match. And to those of you that are with such a person, congratulations. Hold onto them.

im puerto rican, so im mainly into hispanic girls (wat the rest of the world incorrectly refers to as "latin").

if u look at my gf, she looks completely hispanic. still, its a weird story. she was born here to a puerto rican father and her mother, well, is half german. she was born in germany to a set of puerto rican parents, and i think her dad was born in germany and i think his dad was german..... i dunno, its a big mess.....

My wife and I thought we had alot in common - now that we are married, it seems more apparent that we have alot NOT in common. We're fine with that, though - it means that there are things you enjoy together, and some things that you have "just for you". I don't expect her to enjoy or take interest in all of my hobbies, and she doesn't expect me to enjoy her hobbies - but we do listen to each other talk about our hobbies, no matter how much it does not interest us. I may not be into her hobbies, but I'm into her. Get it?

I almost got married to a few women who I had a lot more in common with than my wife. The reality is, there was always something in those relationships that I did not like, or could not handle.

Now looking back at the past 25 years of relationships, I could have been happy with any of them in reality. I just ended up with the one I'm with, and we are both happy, and in "Love" so it's all good. (Besides, I have some wonderful kids with this amazing lady, and that is a huge factor in our lives.)

I used to think it was pre-determined, or Karma. That you would find "The One" and everything would be roses. Reality is life sucks sometimes, and making it through the difficult times together is what helps to bind the relationship, and makes for the best memories. You can always forget the bad stuff, just try and remember the good times, and your going to be fine.

been single for about 2-3 now. i haven't found anybody relationship worthy. i just find girls who don't want strings attached and i go to town. and is it just me, or do all hot women smoke cigaretes? major turn off for me. my radar goes from "oh damn" to "eh, let's just fuck and be done with it."
