YES!!! that is a scam. Call or e-mail him and he will be in the uk, the car is in the U.S. and he can have the car shiped to you when you send him the money.
Besides most mk4's sell at the lowest, in the low $20,000's.

I actually emailed the person, they said it really was for $3000, and that they live in Las Vegas.

my friends went through something like this a year ago. they had a '97 turbo with loads of mods for $7,000 and a 05 roush mustang for $8,000. this lady said she was moving to czech and her husband couldnt take them. but some how they got paid book value for them by the czech government, so they could purchase cars over there to help boost the local economy. (yes a line of BS but why not check it out) so they had to setup an escrow account online to send the money to the czech. (she wanted them to send money and have cars shipped to them) fast forward a few days, they line everything up to come down to see the cars in Cali. and she just disappears (hmm i wonder why). number was shut off and listings were gone. they didnt lose much except the cost to open the escrow account. could have been alot worse if it had been some young kid losing all his money.

I think this particular photo has been used in a lot of different 4 sale ads for this car before.I know I have seen it.
