Is this stuff a seal conditioner, or just really thick oil? I've got a leak in my Mk2

I normally don't like using additives only full senthetic oil, but for awhile now ive been having to add some oil every few weeks and 6$ a quart gets old when my oil doesn't need to be changed. do they sell moa at advance and auto zone etc.?

The website says nothing of seal conditioning. It looks like it'll just make your oil super thick.
x87Supra, I saw on eBay a product called Seal lube. It seemed to be a seal conditioner that had good feedback; stopped a lot of oil leaks according to his eBay customers. Didn't work on my Mk2 though. 23 years old is too much!

My p/s steering rack started leaking A LOT (torn boot)...like the pump would start whining about a day after I put fluid in it...so I went and bought Valvoline Transmission (ATF fluid) with "Stop Leak" seal conditioner...in about two days, the oil leakage almost completely stopped...

So, I know that some additives will work, it's just finding them that's the challenge.

Jonathan, the boot is a dust protector, it doesn't seal fluids. The rack itself is leaking and needs repair.

Check out Bitron on SF. This stuff is electrically charged, and actually sticks to the metal giving it an extra layer of protection. I was so impressed with the bench test that I plan on adding it on my next oil change which is this Sat. Everyone I have talked to swears by the stuff. You should check it out.:slap: It will give that turbo some extra protection!!!

But did you see what happens when its cold. I wouldn't use that crap for anything but putting a block together as the supra forums thread suggests. I use mobile 1 15w50 and it suits mefine. According to the S/F thread the castrol was great all around.
