Flannel is good. The ladies can wear flannel nighties on satin sheets - or satin nighties on flannel sheets, for that matter, without ending up on the floor beside the bed a few hours after they go to sleep. There are few things nicer than a warm lady in a flannel babydoll in front of a roaring fireplace on a cold winter night.

Flannel as in the red & black checkered shirt thing is just wrong. Well, unless the lady is wearing it. And nothing else.
