Do you guys trust buying either a 1jz or 2jz from ebay from those places in canada i was thinking of going 1jz i found an engine for dirt cheap it was canada i want to buy it but.. i dont trust them shipping my engine and taking my money.. tell do you trust them..

Go with Driftmotion or JARCO. That way you'll get an entire clip which eliminates the hunting for the other parts. Most of those EBAY engines have cut harnesses, the ignitor is missing, and stuff gets broken during shipment.

By buying from Driftmotion or JARCO, you can TALK to the people you're buying from and know EXACTLY what you're getting.

my experience with an ebay 2jz was fine, well the oil pan was dented to unusable status, the sensors for the wastegate on the 2jz were all broken at the vac line fitting (3 -4 total) but everything i planned on replacing anyway ~~ i say go for a front clip spend a few hundred more and you wont get all these broken things. with the 2jz the difference is only a couple of hundred however with the 1jz the price has skyrocketed past what it once was

I bought a 7mgte from an individual on ebay..........it sucked!

BUT, That's not really related to the topic too much. If I were to buy one (maybe one day), I would buy from Driftmotion for the stated reasons. Aaron has been Super Cool to deal with for my current build. With that said, I would plan on a rebuild right out of the box no matter where I got it from. Whoever you but it from can do a compression check, but they really can't gaurantee it to be perfect. i haven't done any research on it, so I don't know what kind of warranty they may come with.....if any

screw everyone else, go with driftmotion. Screw Jarco too when it comes to DM. With shipping, my clip cost me less from DM than it did compared to Jarcos price, and Aaron rocks when it comes to customer support.

Fuck all others, go with Driftmotion...
