Do they make an electric water pump for us?

no cause metal dual pipe is at back of pump but just before pump and might push water up rather than sucking out there fore stalling water leaving pos over heat problem for water jackets as that is the only return

Yeah, I think there will be no circulation through the turbo and heater because these 2 pipes connected on the stock pump housing on the suction side of the pump

Okay, Quick question, the stock fan is sucking air through the radiator, right? It wouldnt make sense to blow air INTO the radiator the way i see it.. because that would be causing resistance from air blown towards the engine while driving.

I just finished removing my AC condenser and it looks like there is a lot of room there for an additional fan, this could do the job helping to cool the radiator, while keeping the stock belt-driven fan.

Wow, this thread took off... Great info guys, a good example of the technical differences between this site and the other... Thanks for going slightly off topic, but remaining in the technical framework of the whole idea of the electrics...

I would love for someone to guinea pig this and let us know how the Supra takes an electric fan/water pump... The main reason I want to go with electric fans is the space factor... Having more room for my IC piping and turbo intake pipe... The electric water pump would be a good thing to have for racing purposes... It would also be great if you had a water cooled turbo as well, like a ct26... Mine is oil cooled only, but you know what I mean for the other turbo guys...

Yeah, if you didnt have AC, you wouldnt need the condensor, so that would give you some more options... That's a good idea, like a push/pull effect...

i might be wrong but with the ammount of water the ewp shifts compared to stock you might not need a fan at all

reason being when the car is at idle and no air to the rad the pump will simply spin faster and faster to disperse the heat out of the rad where as the standard pump would be at its slowest speed

not only that but at high speed runs when the rad is getting a helping hand from incoming air the speed of pump would slow down

this should help in maintaing a much more even tempreature for the engine and would most proabaly elimnate any heat spots

could this be part of the bhg problem originaly but it has not been realised ? :icon_conf

Yesterday installed Meziere 20 gpm electric water pump. This is universal remote pump, part # WP 136. To provide coolant circulation through the turbo I had to relocate one turbo cooling line to the suction side of the pump. As axpected I lost my heater because it's line has to be relocated to the pump suction side as well. Will do it during my next engine rebuild. First impression - temperature does not spike 4-5 deg C as usual with mechanical pump when I stop after hard driving. I will see full benefits of this mod next summer :icon_bigg
