Jetjock, I was asking manily for electrical help, since that is not my strong area. If it makes you any happier, close the thread, I have found out what I needed to know.

Poodles, I know about eliminating things. I do it only if I can support it. Example, I eliminated my EGR, since I have an AEM to tune my engine. The fans are going because I am upgrading to a aluminum radiator and electric fans. Cruise control was eliminated....honestly, people are retarded to flame me for that.

you're welcome. hope it works out for you.

as far as the ign, i don't like to tap into the efi. i usually use the radio fuse or the heavy ign wiring under the steering wheel. i don't have my diagrams handy to point it out, but it's the same wire that you hook into if using a turbo timer. if i am looking for a constant 12v source, i tie right off the battery.

hey, IBoughtASupra, be careful w/ the fan controllers... not sure if anyone else has posted this but stay away from the Flex-A-Lite controllers because they are garbage. Start the fans on at one speed and sometimes its too much current draw for the 30amp fuse and it'll melt the fuse. had this happen to me. Upgraded to a SPAL PWM fan controller. Pictures on my build thread. Works great and I have yet to have any issues w/ it.

Thanks man. I call Pheonix Tuning and I spoke to a guy over there and he said that they use the "Dakota Digital" controller just like DB recommended, so I am going to go with that one. I am going to take a look at your build thread too. I am using the alternator from DriftMotion rated at 140AMPS, so that should be good enough for the fans and gauges that I am going to be installing. I am not a person who is big on audio, just something that plays CD's and radio and an LED upgrade for my cluster and my climate control unit.

I got my flexalite fans wired into the stock connector that the A/C fans used to be on. I put a be cool 185 degree sensor in the T-stat housing. The fans have a 30amp fuse inline and so far they kick on and off just fine. When summer comes if they don't cool as well as I hope then they will come off and the stock fan will go back on, but for now my temps never have gotten above the 180 on my guage. This seemed the simpliest way of doing things and it is working fine now. I keep an eye on the temps though just in case

The thermostat threaded right into the housing? I have been looking for one like that which threads in without having to retap the housings. How did you use the A/C fan's plug? Use the pig tail off your stock fans? It had enought amps to power up the fans? It sends constant power even though the A/C might not be on? Thank, Andy.
