IMO you don't need the squirters at all unless you plan on roadracing, etc. We run the GE block on the 2jz Probe at close to 900 hp with stock pistons, rods and no oil squirters.

I don't have the squirters in my personal car either.

that was what i was about to say i have seen couple of them GE's doing more than 800 whp with stock internals with awesome reliabillity. anyway is a better insurance to prep it good with good forged parts so it will be a hassle free bulletproof shortblock! just my humble opinion!

Good point, but probably since forged pistons they make for the GTE dont get in the way of those
OK, that's fine. I know that SOME aftermarket pistons don't clear the squirters.

Also, MOST aftermarket pistons don't really make use of the squirters. They don't have the oil galleys in the pistons for them. (You'll notice stock have a little hole where the oil squirts INTO the piston) All you're going to have is oil splashing on the bottom of the pistons, which I suppose is good for something.

My opinion is still that the squirters are unnecessary.

It also gets the wrist pin lubricated. I decided i'll be drilling holes directly into the main passage and bolting them in w/ a banjo fitting.
