Do i have a GE or GTE

I just picked up a completely disassembled 2JZ, the guy told me it was a GTE, but i saw it and believe its just a GE, whatever its cool, it was $100! You can tell by the valve covers can't you? Just wanted to confirm, the GE has a dip in the middle of the VC for their top fed intake mani right?

Does it have a distributor?

2JZ-GTE's don't use a distributor style CPS like the 7M-GTE does.

No electronic w/ it, just the engine. But yeah the VCs look similar to the 7M. I gotta bore it out .030 and get forged pistons anyways, so, nothing lost on the NA motor. With the pistons it'll be the same. I'll have to pick up the other things like the cam sensor, ignitor, map, etc.

Well if Hotscennescy (whatever!) has 500+ w/o squirters i'll take that. So Cactus, you got a 500hp 2JZ Supra and live in Santa Rosa!? Where the hell are you? Unless its stealth as f$&k i've never seen such a thing. PM me your number, i'll give you mine and we'll have to hang out!

Yeah i will be putting in forged pistons w/ coating. Still haven't decided on what coating yet though. Should i still put in squirters for road racing?

You can drill the block, it's been done before. I do not believe it's worth your time, forged or not. However if you are going forged, then don't worry about oil squirters.

I'll continue to go back and forth, but in the end, since i'm overboring it anyways, i may have the machinist drill and tap it for the squirters anyways. Only thing is then since the NA didnt have the controled "leak" of the squirters, will the oil pump be able to keep up? Or should i shim the 2JZ pump like the 7M pump, to raise the oil pressure
