Better study up on the questions like:
"What is the amount of space, in feet, you should follow behind the car in front of you doing 55mph?"
"When are you required by law to turn on your lights?"
Remember what each street sign looks like by shape.
Remember how to pass some one, and also how a 4 way stop works.

try the cdl test sometime....general knowledge, combination vehicle, airbrakes, tanker, double/triples, haz-mat, passenger, log book, ect ect
about 400 questions in all.....breezed thru it in less than an hour...
and i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer
an to think some dudes i went to school with didn't get thru gen knowledge in the first day, or pass first try....and they are now piloting 80000lb missiles down the roads

In Oregon (at least when I took the test) the distance was in seconds, so that it would work for all speeds.
