First of all I'll start by saying I thought this was the best place to put this. If not then feel free to move.

This is my local forum. The link is to the Tampa Supra Meet and it's pictures.

Reason why I am posting this is I see what you guys mean by our MK3 Supra gets no attention or recognition. The guy takes 1 alone shot of an MK3 Supra and it is the ugliest one there. There is some other MK3 Supras but they are mixed in with the Mk4s. Seems to me that the guy is biased or something.

If I were the photographer I woudl've tried to get more shots of just MK3's. Try to be fair about it I guess.

I dunno. It kind of p'd me off in a way because this is why people don't have knowledge to what the MK3 Supra is.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I went to the Chicago meet and a guy made a video and posted it on Supraforums. I told him the same thing. I said I know it's your video, but this was a supra meet and not a MKIV meet. He said he could only make the video ten minutes long so he didn't put any MKIII's or MKII's in it..................:3d_frown:

I didn't think Big Daddy's car was ugly at all...............:dunno:

Not that I dont love my MK III but easy 90% of the population outside of our little circle dont realize that the Supra is more than just the MK IV. Seems like the photographer was focusing more on what he perceived as the higher performing cars.

in our local club(njtuners) everyone knows what a mkiii is and gives it the respect it should get, usually it gets more attention then mkiv's because there are so many mkiv in the club, and its rarer to see a mkiii...

Think of that - do you really want people to know what MKIII actually is? Isn't getting stupid questions kinda interesting? And also in general, people are more interested in things they haven't seen before/recognize from somewhere?
Make your MKIII better than your MKIV and shine on the streets, where people look, and you'll get the recognition you prolly want :D Show people what you got and be proud of it ;)

But yeah, I get it, it's kinda bad if you car isn't recognized at meetings, when other's cars are... :)

That is why you pick the rarest model of the MKIII and make it look the best. It will definitly get attention. Most local meets here , we get decent attention at the mKIII...and MKIV's alike.

Thats because the bay area is a bit more open minded when it comes to cars. Shoot at a meet we had a few months back a MK2 beat MK3's and 4's in best in show.

I honestly don't think that would help. The only ones around here that like the MK3 are the ones that have owned them and are enthusiasts. Everyone on that forum thinks the MK3 is a "fake supra". Then again 85% of the people on the forum are Honda enthusiasts as well. :sarcasm:

Tampa is definately a MK4 Supra/Honda town. Makes good motivation though for the mk3 owners down here to show them what our car is made of. I can't wait to get started.

What's your beef with the drag mkiii?

A photographer will take pictures of what he wants to, and unless you paid him... he had no obligation to take pictures of anything other than what he/she wanted to.

wow, I only considered the MK3 the ONLY supra, older ones look like a crackerbox on wheels, MK4's look like every other rounded blob running around

I just don't like all the stickers and the big azz wing. Performance wise I'm sure it's great but I like looks and performance.

I never said he had an obligation, just said it's a dissapointment how he just based most of the pictures on the MK4 Supras. It is a SUPRA meet not an MK4 Supra meet. :icon_bigg
