I am a total newbie to cars but am enjoying doing some work on my 1990 Supra. Bought some Powerslot rotors to replace my stock. First, I had the hardest time removing the stock one. Banging the back like crazy until they finally came off. I can't get the new Powerslot rotors to slide on. The bolts come through ok and everything but I can't slide the rotor in. And of course I don't want to force it on. What can I do about this? Is there too much rust on my wheel?

I come from a land down under
Grab a sheet of sandpaper fold it lengthwise a few times so you have a strip then wrap it around the hub and sand like you're buffing a shoe.

Turn the hub a bit and repeat until you've done the full 360 degrees.

Just DON'T sand in one place too long and it'll be fine.

Thanks IJ. I will give that a try!

Also Remove and Grease the sliders with CRC Synthetic Grease, (it has moly in it)

Don't use wheel bearing grease. :)

Finally back from my vacation so I can finish up this project.. Where are the sliders and how do they remove?

Don't ever beat on the rotor to try and remove it.

You can damage a hell of a lot by doing that. Bearings, suspension, rotor, studs...

From memory the holes are tapped m6x1 so which calliper bolt fits?

Agreed, I don't think any of the brake caliper related bolts would have fit, as the thread is too fine. Was a while ago though...

I used two random bolts that were sitting on my work bench. Anyway, yes, that is the proper way to remove a rotor ;)
