My 87t came with some cool seatcovers. I going to sell the 87 but I want to keep the covers and switch em with my 89, but Im not sure how to take the adjusting wheel that reclines the seats back or the head rest. I haven't tried just simply pulling them out in fear that I might break something. Does anyone know how to take these apart?
I know I could just switch the seats as whole but I wish to keep the power driver seat option instead of having to turn a wheel or pull a lever to adjust things.

Been a while, but as I recall the wheels have a C-clip that needs to be removed. The head rest is a bit tougher, you need to remove the back, then peel back the seat skin a bit and unbolt the headrest supports from the lower seat. Be careful with the plastic pieces on the headrest support, they are REALLY fragile.

I've forgotten the details too. I think it is a wire bent in a c-shape that can be grabbed with pliers. Try pushing the fabric inwards to expose the knob shank. I think it is obvious once you can see it.
