I just don't like the thought of a CT26 on my 1J. That's why I went 1J. So I could get away from that hellacious 7M. I hated that thing! I don't want anything to do with that motor ever again (unless i get paid). This was me... ::bhg:: ::bhg:: Yes, twice! The 7M can burn in HELL! Along with every part on it! CT26 included. :evil5:

Actually if you want to disable them..

Cut the vacuum lines to the wastegates, and do a few WOT runs with C16 in the gastank. It will work alot better if you do it on the highway from 45mph to 120ish.

ok your best bet would be to use a manual boost controller (about $50) and turn it all the way down. It may run 1psi but thats better than where youre at. Its cheap, easy, and little work involved. BUT GO SINGLE!!!

If you weren't aware, it's not possible to turn a boost controller down any lower than the base wastegate setting.

Don't spread misinformation like that.

it has to bleed the signal back to the wastegate for it to see anything.

You are not understanding. The wastegate(s) will open at a preset boost level. You cannot make a boost controller lower the boost any lower than that base wastegate setting. This means turning it all the way down will make it act as if it weren't there at all.

The only thing an MBC does is bypass some of the pressure signal before it gets to the wastegate making it open later(more boost).

Get it?

gah so tired. my 60 hour work weeks are evident. I was forgetting when i did it on my 1g, it was from 15psi to 5. I think the miles it had on the spring made it open at 5 or something. please dont run that the wastegate wouldnt even open! The only way that would work is with an adjustable external.
