I have an aftermarket python security system installed(came with the car). It seems to be interfering with the built in security system and it sets off the built in alarm sometimes when i try to unlock the doors with the remote. I need to get it disabled or working correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

you can remove it and put in a paperclip in the connector with out needing the theft deturent computer the paperclip goes into the pin5 with the white/black wire and jumpers to the row above it for the starter relay pin13 blue/orange

or run the wire in the pin13 to your alarm ecu for your starter kill relay in the condition of safe to start it applies a grounf here.

Uhm someone please delete that post ^

Already easy enough to look up wiring diagrams and figure it out, you don't need to go out there and spoon feed info on how to steal our cars...

If only it were that simple. Anybody that steals cars already knows.

I worked in law inforcement for quite some time and have witnessed many people who could barely spell their own name, but when it came to stealing cars (or anything else for that matter) all of the sudden their IQ went up 50 points. FWIW.

yep they dont have to disable our factory alarms by breaking into our cars and setting them off then taking the dash apart or kick panels then taking the alarm box off the top of the column most crooks these days just build BUMP KEYS and there is already a how to on you tube on top of that there is a set of master keys three keys that will unlock any US Supra and works on doors and ignition at the same time.

The only way to 100% stop a dedicated crook is by putting a low jack or GPS tracking device in your vehical

Even a crook with a tow truck can just pull your vehichal off only dumb 13yr olds throw a brick through your window and try to take your column apart usualy even that method can get your car jacked by the third horn blast : (

Every car should have a switch somewhere that turns off the fuel pump, installed by the owner, in a location he doesn't tell anyone. I'd like to see someone hotwire a car when they can't get any fuel.

Sure but just because it's already easy enough, why use that as justification to put more information out there?

*Sigh* Nevermind....

And on a side note, if you install an aftermarket alarm properly, a master key will not do the trick, add what GrimJack recommends as well, and your car will be pretty damn hard to steal

But if there's a will, there's a way...

Can't you just pull the EFI fuse everytime you get out of the car?:biglaugh:

To answer the original question the aftermakert system must bring low one of the disable inputs on the stock alarm box just prior to (or at the same time) the lock module powers the door solenoids. It can't simply unlock the doors. If the problem doesn't happen all the time it's likely that bit of wiring was not done correctly. The use of IDC taps (Scotchlok, et al) comes to mind.

My only issue with this is it's like a removable stereo face. You take it off dilligently every day for a few months, then it's just a bother. Eventually, you just don't bother reaching down under the dash for that switch when you're getting out of the car.

Or worse, you're driving along and accidentally trip the switch. At best the car will stall, at worst, it'll go lean because of low fuel pressure.

If I were going to turn something off, it'd be the igniter, but since I'd probably just never actually DO it, there's no point.

Back on topic: Pop the hood, disconnect the hood switch, mail the switch to me, and ground the wire that goes there. System disabled.

I have a Tap Lok on one of my other cars. Softly rap the code out on the car's skin in a certain place and presto. Can be used to enable/disable anything. Nice for lost keys too.

What some serious geek security? Here ya go...you'll pay for it though:

That is WAY cool! I'm going to do some research on that!
