There were 4 types of 7M-GE dipstick and 3 types of 7M-GTE dipstick.

They all change up to a total of 3 numbers:

86.5-92 N/A: 15301-42021
89-92 N/A California Spec: 15301-42040
87-92 Turbo: 15301-42012

First off, sorry about poor focus but I think the point is still made.
The first pic shows the dipstick that is difficult to read especially with fresh oil.
The second pic shows the marks I scribed in the back to help indicate oil level.

yea i ment lower than it acctually is indicated by the dipstick.


i think.....im confusing the shit out of myself thinkin about it.

new parts are always cool even if its just a dipstick :biglaugh:

im assuming i should order the dipstick posted earlier in this thread?
