Just curious of the differences of the 7MGTE and 7MGE belts Accessories, AC Compressor, Oil Pump, Starter Pullies ETC. is there any of these parts that are different in the GTE than the GE?

I've only noticed the oil pump. All accessories are the same (unless you don't have PPS on your N/A, then I believe the power steering pump is different.. But I'm not sure that all GTEs have PPS or not.. So don't quote me on that.) and the starter is the same.

I also think of upgrading my 7M GE with a lightweight flywheel, but all that I found is 7M GTE flywheel. So do you guy think that fits? Anyone here has done this w 7M GE, pls share your experience pls.

Not sure you will find a flywheel for a GE...there isn't much point to it.

A GTE flywheel has some subtle differences over the GE flywheel due to the different types of clutch engagement between the two engines.

It seems like the GTE alternator was rated to a little higher amps. I don't have the technical data in front of me. This would be for the extra electric fans on the A340 GTE.

Pretty sure all MA70s has 1 electric fan 86.5-88 and 2 for 89-92...

I assume you mean the front side, and not the pusher. There is as many as 3 on turbo automatic cars. And as such, the GTE alternator is 80 amps, and the GE is rated to 70 amps.

Limiting to belt driven accessories, for my '89, the PS pump was the same, GE v GTE, but with different reseviors. The alternator is different. The GTE alternator is rated for higher amperage. There are also 2 different regulators, but this doesn't seem to be GE/GTE related, but one will work for either wiring harness, and the other can't. This may be year related, as the '87 GTE alternator that came with my donor car couldn't replace the '89 GTE alternator that I had.

The flywheel goes with the transmission. An R154 flywheel will not work with the W58 as-is, but if you can talk a machine shop into drilling and tapping the pressure plate mount holes, it will work. (I've heard of people drilling and tapping a W58 flywheel for R154 usage.)

There was an additional pusher fan for the turbo auto, but I don't think that it was there for the NA auto. This is in addition to the 1 or 2 puller electric fans.
