The JDM Cressida and the USDM Cressida should have the same TB, and the TB they use is the same as the 7MGTE throttle body, which means they don't have ACIS.

Interesting. I thought both mk2 and mk3 Supras had 60mm throttle bodies, as well as the Cressidas. Your measurments are saying 63mm vs 66mm

...is lost...

The Turbo and N/A TBs are different. I believe the inner diameter for the GTE one was said to be 2.75 inch, while the GE one is around 2.5 inch. I guess the turbo TB is smaller than I thought.

Hmph. There's so many damn throttle bodies around here, I don't know which is which. Numerous 5M TBs, 6M TBs and 7M TBs. Don't know how to tell if a 7M TB is the 'turbo' one or not.

You measure at the butterfly......... :3d_frown:

Exactly !
The mouths of the TBs will vary because they are castings.
You need to measure the machined bore where the throttle plate seats.
Those should all be 60mm.

There is enough wall thickness to bore them to 65mm.
The Group-A TBs came 65mm,
and have enough material to bore them to 70mm.
(that is, if you can find one !)

I measured my spare Australian 7M Cressida one & its 66mm at the opening & 60mm at the butterfly.

Some off the wall questions.

Could you port out the TB and have a bigger butterfly made or take one from another TB and install it?

If this could be done would you need a fuel management unit and/or bigger injectors to offset the increased amount of air?

Yes & yes.

SAFC would make it easier to tune, don't think you'd need bigger injectors. You could use a FP controler and bump up the pressure, if that's the only mods you've done. If you go to boring, bigger cams etc, you'd need bigger injectors.

bored out to 62mm @ the plate

7m_tb_ft.jpg

I think the biggest anyone has ever gone was 65mm, and that was absolutely maxing it out, paper thin throttle body, lol.

The 7Ms 295s or 315cc injectors should definitely support all the n/a mods that are out there (at least I would think so anyway)

I personally want to buy a cheapie ebay 75mm throttlebody and have a stock intake manifold modified to make it work.

The stock injectors weren't big enough for mine. I think I could have done with the 440 turbo's but...........

Hmm Interesting. The mods on the head of my 7MGE are mild PNP, shaved, intake, and those cams I found in a junk 7MGE. From the base to the tip of the cam is approx. 40mm. I still havent been able to identify the cams. Might be custom grinds because my motor has a slight lope to it.

I am still using stock injectors, with:
Cams, Headers, Full 3" exhaust, 10.5:1 Wisecos, and a 70mm TB.
(BBK unit meant for the T-Bird Super Coupe)
To get enough fuel to it,
I have a S-AFC, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
