different idea on use of MBCs

Thats what I was telling Joe. The only way Id get rid of my current set up is for an AVCR. But even then Im tossed up. My set up hold sooo well. I dont wanna mess with it. But all the features would be nice on the AVCR. I might just get one and try it out.

You won't be dissapointed, but it's almost like a standalone, you have to get lost in the manual to appreciate all it can do.
I never could get boost consistent in all gears with my manual valve. there is no difference between 1st and 5th gears with the AVC-R. but you have to tinker to get it like that. Most people can't understand it and get a profec.
The funny thing is that you can find them for under 300 from just those people ;)

Stiffer spring in what ? the MBC? Possibly. But IMo just get a real MBC. Why waste time with a cheap unit that is unrealiable.
Is $70 too expensive for consistant boost?

its not that its too expensive, but if there's an easy solution to the current problem id rather find it

a spring would cost an insignificant amount. and if it fixed the issue, then cool. if not then option B and C are next to try.

good point now that i think it through. maybe a less stiff spring? or basically lighten up on the MBC... but then it may not hold the boost i want. im gonna go play with it right now. ill get back with some results

The problem is that the turbos have momentum. so you have to open the gate to kill their momentum before they get up to boost.
Then you have to close the gate to hold the boost. Ebcs do that best.
You might try a slightly larger orifice to allow the ball to move quicker, but still apply the same force.
