Difference in Turbo kits 67 vs 72mm for 2jz

I was thinking about getting one of the turbo kits off of driftmotion and i was wondering how much of a lag differnece between these two turbo sizes. Im just throwing out there if theres not to much of a difference why not get the bigger one.

Not trying to say bigger is better just trying to reason.

What are your power goals?

A stock 2JZ will spool a 67MM quickly and with a QSV, full boost at 20 psi, would come in at somewhere at 3200RPM. I have seen it. :aigo:

- like to run stock ecu as long as possible. If not AEM Standalone
- stock engine

Put it on and wondering what hp would it make all stock. Standalone if ihave to.

Do a 67MM and .70 on the A/R. You will choke up top if you do the .58.

They are okay turbos. Get a PT67.

I run the 67mm with a the .68 A/R from Driftmotion, and I think it's freaking awesome. While I'm running high compression 1.5JZ and stand alone, different from you, it hits REALLY hard. It's a great street set up, I love it

You can find the journal bearings new for 900 over at SPRacingOnline.com. Ball bearings will be more but the journal bearing turbos are great, they spool a lot quicker that other 67MM out there, well at least, the 67s I have seen.

IIRC, I hit 17 psi around 2800rpm, but keep in mind I have a 3.0L and around 9.5:1 C/R. I wanted a lot of boost fast.....got it

I had a stock aristo 2j on stock ecu with map ecu piggy back with a divided .70AR 67mm journal bearing and saw full boost (20psi) at 3700-3800rpm here is the dyno graph

Then I put in 264 cams, and went to a undivided .81AR ball bearing precision 67mm and I get full boost 4200 rpm, here is the dyno (currently looking for a divided housing and going standalone so with e85 so I plan to gain back atleast 500rpm of spool.)

Those are some good numbers, you give me hope with my setup. Orderd a boost controller and Wideband yesterday morning.
