Did the 1jzgte and the 2jzgte use the same radiator?

but... I remember reading you can just put the sensor in the drain plug or something. And a 7M radiator is the better bet since it will actually fit.

Can a 2jzgte radiator be used in a 1jzgte swap? I guess that is what I should have asked.
I need a radiator for a 1jz and there is one for sale from a 2jz. The seller says he has one of each and the radiators themselves are the same.
If the fan is different, could I use the 2jz radiator but just get a different fan shroud? Are the fans different size? Or does the hydraulic fan and it's sensor render them incompatible?

It depends on if you are going to be planning on running the Hydrofan or a clutch fan or electros. If you aren't planning on running the Hydrofan, it doesn't matter what radiator you use. Either way, I'm with BorHor...why not just use the 7M radiator...it fits in the car perfectly.

Ahhh...see, if you'd have told us it was for an SC300 from the getgo...we could have answered your question better. I don't even know if the Soarer had a Hydrofan. What's wrong with the radiator in the car currently?!?
Oh in that case... Find out if the MK4 and SC radiators are the same. I thought this was for a MK3
The radiator just needs to be replaced and I am just trying to go OEM to get the build done and get it on the street.
I can grab the 2jzgte radiator, and I have spent some time searching, but have found no definite answer if the 2j rad is compatible with the 1j in the SC.
