Just post some pics, OP! No one's going to bash you! I paid $4,500 for mine!

Check the first pic to see what she looked like when I drove her home.

If you think you have a BHG, PARK IT. Get your coolant tested at a shop to see if you really do have a BHG and if so, don't drive it until you fix it! There's no sense in driving it and running the risk of f-ing up your rod and main bearings due to watery oil. If you have a BHG, buy a good metal head gasket, buy ARP head studs, and get your head checked to make sure it isn't warped before putting it back on. Driving with a BHG and cutting corners on important stuff like this is why the 7M has such a bad reliability reputation.

Well, I paid $27,840 for mine. Worth every penny. :icon_bigg

But then, mine doesn't have an ugly body kit (I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder) and doesn't have a BHG... but in my opinion, you may have overpaid for it. But hey, you have a supra now... :)

If the engine has bhg, you overpaid by about $3500.

That's not to say it costs $3,500 to fix a BHG, op... It can be done much cheaper than this!! The process of replacing a BHG has been covered on here many times. Now's the time to learn from your mistakes and move forward! Don't lose hope!!

OP.... whether or not you paid to much, it's a done deal. If you like the body kit, more power to you. Like Reiketsukan said, you can change the head gasket... just read up here and do it right. If I were you, I'd also get a hold of Toyota Service Manual for your car. There is a wealth of information here at your disposal. Welcome to the MKIII community.

Could be leaking into the combustion chamber, or it could be something else. Compression and leakdown test will help you confirm.

Motor comes out and goes back in relativly easy. Me and a bud can pull a supra motor in a few hours, but we have done this a few times...

First off what car experience do you have? Honda? 240? That will be your braking factor, if this is your first car that you have EVER worked on, you should ditch it quick and buy something that you can learn on and not waist a bunch of money on.

Engine swaps are very straight forward but you need to know what your doing and have the money to replace parts that need to be replaced and not cut corners, and taking out loans to fix these cars are not worth it, with all the money you can be spending you could buy something nice and new and then save your money to buy a supra that is in better shape IE stock...

Best of luck to what ever you decide to do in the future.
