please dont ever stand over a car while its ON the dyno... your just asking to get made a fool in front of everybody...

Ok, im pretty sure i wouldnt be standing in front of the car on the dyno! O and i beg to ask how im going to be, "made a fool of"?

The one idea i had a while back was, taking my DMM and probing the knock sensor wires and reading it that way. But i dont know how accurate it would be?

No... sorry, i should have explained, my father is a mechanic, and when ever he needs too, he uses this "automotive stethiscope. Instead of having the cup on the end it has a long wire like rod. its pretty cool. have you ever seen one?

Actually, yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yes, that would work quite well, if you can figure out how to use it while driving.
