In person, the roof panel isn't as bad on the edge as it looks. That is glare. But the panel just does not look as good as the rest of the car. So I do I fix it? What type of product from Mother's or Meguiar's can you suggest. I think the term is oxydized, but this isn't my area.

It almost looks like it has something on top of the paint, if that makes sense.

zaino swirl remover with an orbital buffer, then zaino z-3 polish will get all that off.

Yeah that looks to be only on the surface and should come out fine.
If you wont want to use a cutter, polishes and finishing compounds, Zaino should do the trick.
Just remember, slow rotation.

Don't be afraid to be aggressive with the z-pc zwirl remover, it's pretty gently and takes a lot of buffing with an orbital. The results are amazing however. You MUST use the Z-3 polish after the swirl remover, or else the paint will look hazed.

Yea, if that is stock paint, the Zaino swirl remover will work great...
