When I had a real job ( flat-rate tech at a Lincoln/MB dealership for 28 years) the bay next to me was usually open. This is where the pinstripe guy and the dent guy used to work.I spent many hours watching these guys do their magic.The dent guy used to charge 50 bucks a dent, which, at the time, I thought was crazy expensive. Pull a dent on a 450SL for 50 bucks, compaired to repairing the dent and respraying the fender. What a bargain.The salesman now had more bargaining room with the buyer. Nicer car-- higher price. Yea, I can knock another two hundred off for ya.
